The College offers a Five Year Integrated Law program, the successful completion of which will earn the student a B.Com., LL.B. (Honours) Degree to be awarded by Gauhati University.
The duration of the B.Com., LL.B. (Honours) degree course shall be for a period of five academic years. Each academic year is divided into two semesters, each semester having an average of 100 working/ teaching days. The academic terms shall ordinarily be between July to December and January to June.
The Five year B.Com., LL.B. (Honours) course is a full- time course and no student is permitted to purse simultaneously any other course. The admission of a student can be cancelled at any stage for violation of this rule.
Eligibility for Admission
(a) A candidate for admission to the Five Year Integrated B.Com., LL.B. (Hons) course must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination securing in aggregate not less than 45% of the total marks for general candidates, not less than 42% for OBC category and 40% for SC/ ST candidates as per latest Bar Council of India Rules.
(b) Aged not more than 20 years for general category applicants & 22 years for SC/ST candidates.

Reservation of seats for SC, ST(P)/ ST(H), OBC, MOBC and other category candidates will be as per the Norms laid down by Govt. of Assam.
Admission Procedure
Admission to the First Semester B.Com., LL.B. (Honours) shall be on the basis of an Entrance Examination conducted by the College.Admission will be purely on merit basis. Candidates who have appeared for the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 are also eligible to appear in the entrance examination, provided they fulfill the eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
Admission Form & Prospectus can be obtained from the College Office on payment of Rs. 500/- (Rs.200/- is the entrance examination fee) or by post by sending a DD for Rs. 550/- made in favour of "NEF Law College" payable at Guwahati. Admission Form & Prospectus can also be downloaded from the website : www.nefcollege.org . A Demand Draft of Rs. 500/- (Five hundred only) has to be enclosed with the downloaded Form.
Candidates desiring to appear in the Entrance examination should fill up the enclosed Application Form and submit the same to the College Office on or before the mentioned last date of submission of Application Forms. Along with the duly filled in Application form,the student should submit 5(five) recent stamp size photographs and 2 self (two) addressed envelops. They should also obtain their Admit Card / Hall Ticket after submitting their Application forms.
The Examination is to be answered in English only .The result of the Entrance Examination and the merit list will be put up in the College Notice Board.
